I have to agree with the facebook dad. Dr. Phil did make a mistake, but I don’t think he should be hated either though. Dr. Phil obviously didn’t know what he was talking about. The facebook dad is reasonable and probably did what’s best for his kid. He is the girl’s father after all, he would know what’s best and what to do as the father of the teenage girl. I am a teen girl myself and I once in a while get mad at my parents, but that’s normal as a girl for my age.
In the end, I respect my parents and of course love them to death. After all, my parents are from Vietnam and struggled a lot to get me where I am now. Got to admit, if I were to be a parent I would get pissed as well if my child were to say something that horrible about me and my other half in the future. Not to the point where I would shoot my laptop, but enough to punish them. The facebook dad is just using his own method.
People need to keep in mind that all teens and parents are different. Which means the parents would punish differently, talk to them differently, and love them differently. In short, their own way.
