An Elyria, Ohio, police officer was attacked Sunday morning, May 15, 2011, at the Elyria Police Station.

Officer William Witt was booking Anthony Thomas, 29, who was arrested for domestic violence and a warrant for drunk driving and driving under suspension when the attack occurred.

While uncuffed at the station, Thomas leaped over the booking table and began punching Officer Witt.
